Hello, I am Becky and I am very proud to be the owner of Bloom Northumberland North and Scottish Borders, which will be launching in September 2022.
I am a first time Mam to my little boy Alfie, who was born in September 2021, arriving on his Daddy's birthday (which made up for the fact, I hadn't been out to get him a birthday present!). Throughout my pregnancy, I didn't get out much due to Covid, so when Alfie was born and restrictions were lifted, I was keen to get to classes and socialise with other mams. I came across Bloom online and my husband and I both went along with Alfie at 6 weeks old - I was so nervous that he would just cry throughout the whole class but we were instantly put to ease. We have both loved seeing how much Alfie has developed throughout his classes and have enjoyed the different themes each week. Alfies favourite song is 'My Baby Loves to Dance' and we now even use part of the song in his sleep routine.
Previous to my maternity leave, I have worked in the fashion industry and got to live out my Rachel Green moment of making it to an Assistant Buyer in one of my previous roles. As much as I have always been interested in fashion, after having Alfie, my priorities changed and I knew I wanted a role with a better work/life balance so I could spend more time with him. When I came across the opportunity to own a franchise, I knew I had to give it a go as I would be able to be self employed in a creative role.
I cannot wait to meet all of you and your beautiful babies for some Bloom Fun!
Our sessions are packed full of back to back activities to encourage baby's physical, emotional, cognitive and social development so your little one is constantly learning throughout the session. We explain the research and science behind each activity we do so that you understand exactly why we do it and what the benefits are for you and baby.
🐛 Caterpillar Club (6 weeks to 6 months)
A gentle baby development class with a focus on encouraging bonding with your little one. Our Caterpillar class awakens baby's first senses and stimulates in a fun, yet soothing way, using bubbles, parachutes, lights, songs, pompoms, tummy time and baby development moves, ending the class with a relaxing massage for baby to help them drift into a long nap.
🐝 Busy Bees (6 months to 15 months or until confidently walking)
A fun, lively musical baby development class encouraging fine and gross motor skills, body awareness, early language acquisition, rhythm and tempo. Building on from the gentle activities of Caterpillar Club this session uses instruments, dancing, clicking sticks, Makaton and more to bring on your baby's all round development. Please note classes are NOT suitable for proficient walkers.
With a different theme each session to explore, no week is the same! All set to our unique Bloom soundtrack 🎶
