meet hayley

Hi everyone! I'm Hayley! I'm 31 years old and a proud Mummy to my smiley little boy, Oscar.

For the past 11 years, I have been working as a fully qualified Primary school teacher in my local schools, teaching children right from the little ones of Reception through to the leaders of the school- year 6. Working with children and supporting their love-of-learning has always been my passion and I feel so proud of my achievements during this time of my life.

On 20th July, 2021, my son was born. He is my little ray-of-sunshine and my absolute world! After his birth, I battled with postnatal anxiety caused by PTSD from my birth. During my maternity leave, something that really helped me to feel like myself was when taking him to a variety of baby classes. Being surrounded by other parents, knowing they understood the highs and lows of life with a baby made me feel like I was in a safe space and I belonged once more. I was thrilled to be able to join Holly at her Bloom classes nearby. From the moment I found out about Bloom online, to walking through the doors of the class for the first time, I knew that not only was this the place for me and my son, but this was where I wanted to work now too!

Bloom classes are so engaging, colourful and exciting with bespoke music and an abundance of multi-sensory activities. I especially loved that every week, the parents were kept informed throughout the class of the benefits of each part, whether it be the development of fine or gross motor skills; hand eye coordination; body awareness; rhythm/ musical understanding and so many more. As a teacher myself, knowing these classes were professionally planned and that each element of the class was thoroughly researched meant the world to me attending as both a mummy and a teacher with my ever-inquisitive growing boy!

Bloom classes have allowed me to have a bright future ahead with a work-life balance that I was struggling to maintain as a teacher. I now have quality time to spend as a mummy to my son and my family and friends, including my supportive husband Tom and lovable Cavapoo dog Archie. It really is a dream job!

I can't wait to meet you soon and to support your parenting journeys at our Bloom baby classes in Bakewell, Leek and Ashbourne!
