I’m Victoria, and I’m the Founder of Bloom Baby Classes. Welcome to our growing family!
I’m a mum of three girls, and I have to admit, things weren’t always easy when I first became a parent. I went through a very traumatic birth with my first little girl; a 48-hour induced labour followed by an assisted delivery. I left the hospital physically drained and as a mentally exhausted new mum who had no idea what she was doing. I struggled my way through those first few months as a new parent, and along the way, my relationships and my mental wellbeing suffered considerably. I rarely left the house through fear of something not going to plan, and couldn’t face the thought of being in a social situation and not being able to cope. That special bond that everyone talks about mums having with their babies… I didn’t have it, and that just made me feel even worse.
Looking back, I feel that I could have been helped immensely if something like Bloom Baby Classes would have been available.
When life began to get a little easier, I made it my dream, my mission and my focus to create something where parents and caregivers just like me would be able to bond with their new babies in a safe and welcoming environment of progress.
I’d always loved the idea of working for myself, and having children strengthened that resolve. Based on my own experience of early parenthood, and the fact that I’d always had a passion for child development and all things creative, I began to work hard to create something special for parents and babies.
In June 2017, I launched Bloom Baby Classes, and today, we have franchises across the UK and the USA. It makes me so happy that because of everything we offer at Bloom, other parents may not have to feel the way I did in those early weeks and months of new parenthood. Our classes work hard to encourage development, enhance bonding, and provide a wonderful, warm and welcoming experience for new parents and young babies to truly thrive.
